A new Playground & Schoolyard are coming to NES
October 11th – 16th!!
Can you help?
NES GROWS is so close to bringing a new playground and schoolyard to NES, but we cannot do it without your help! We have raised $140,000 of our $150,000 goal!!
To save on costs, we are using a community build model. That means that we need:
Construction Volunteers: families, friends, neighbors, local businesses and organizations to spend a day or few hours with us to actually build the playground,
Lend your Tools for use during the build, and
Food Donations to help feed the volunteers.
Assist with childcare so volunteers can help with the build knowing their children are cared for.
Lend your Tools:
We need tools for the volunteers to use. Tools are loaned for the duration of the build and must be dropped off before the start of the build. We will contact you with more specific drop off days and times in September. Tools will be returned in the same condition they arrived. If any tool is damaged during the build NES GROWS will replace the tool.
All tools will be stored in a locked trailer on site. Tools will be labeled as they are checked in using a number system. Tools should have factory-provided safety guards in place and not altered. Unsafe tools will not be accepted. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Signup up to loan tools:
We need to keep our volunteers fed and energized! Please consider donating breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack items, condiments or paper goods!

Make a Financial Donation:
If you haven’t already done so, please help us close the gap by making a financial donation! All gifts are greatly appreciated!
Volunteers with children ages 5+ need to know their children are cared for while they help on the playground.
